OM Trip 2005

My visit in 2005 was a time of transition. Ron Tenny had stepped back from many of his responsibilities as the head of the computer department at the OMUSA headquarters (largely to ease up and take a bit of a rest), and Marj Garrean had stepped in as the head of the department. My main tasks that year were to move the main email client used by the office from Mozilla to the newly released Thunderbird project, and to upgrade to the new OpenOffice.org 2.0 Beta (actually, v1.9.130). By that time, the new office addition was receiving its finishing touches, and the computer department had moved to its location on the first floor. I was pretty busy that week, and didn't get around to take very many pictures!

The server room picture was mostly interesting just because of remembering what it looked like the year before, with little more than network and fiber-optic cables hanging out of conduits in the ceiling!
