Letchworth State Park and the Glen Iris Inn
Perhaps our favorite place in the whole world is
Letchworth State Park.
Sue and I have made a tradition since around 1980 of spending a weekend
there in the Spring. It's a wonderful park, full of quiet forests
and rushing waterfalls. There is a lovely Victorian Inn there, the
Glen Iris, where we stay Friday and Saturday night. In the morning,
we have a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant. Then, we put on our
grubbies and head for the trails. Some time later in the afternoon,
we return, wash up and sit down to a huge dinner.
On Sunday afternoon, Sam and Mindy sometimes join us for lunch. This year, we also had Man Tai and
Gloria, who had just returned from her year at Fredonia College
